Through recognised efforts in Internet Marketing, ICTAdvisor and the college were most fortunate to have secured the globally renowned Web Marketing guru Rand Fishkin (www.seomoz.org) to launch the OnlineXcellence programme where we talked and met with business owners from across Scotland to want to achieve Online Excellence with their business or ecommerce website
This unique event was delivered with our partners Central College Glasgow and Smart Partnerships Ltd and invited a business audience of no more than 120 delegates to the initial launch.
This was particularly unique as it was the first time anyone with this profile and pedigree in SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) terms has graced Scotland with their presence and anyone who is serious about getting their website to a state of being so much more effective than it currently is could not afford to miss out on this special event. After the event Rand went onto London as its normally only the big events (Search Engine Strategies) you will normally find him speaking at along side many other great names in the search industry such as Google's Analytics Evangelist Avinash Kaushik.
The OnlineXcellence program has been launched to help better educate business owners in making the decision to put a website in place and to help grow their business online.
The initiative is being developed with input from some of the best Search Marketing Professionals across the globe.
During 2010 Central College Glasgow has the exclusiveness to provide this program to all businesses based in Greater Glasgow and a future aim of the program is to offer Web marketing certification to Companies and individuals seeking to put in place successful website strategies & website staff champions.
